Japan is on the wrong side of history over Myanmar’s atrocities against the Rohingya

Amnesty's Lisa Tassi criticizes Japan’s mixed record on responding to the Rohingya crisis in Myanmar. As a major donor in the region, Japan has provided humanitarian aid, but it has also maintained strong ties with Myanmar’s military, and has repeatedly failed to condemn the military’s actions, including at the UN.
