Some Syrian children have spent their whole lives in wartime conditions. Even those who escaped the conflict are suffering the consequences. Experts say the effects of the protracted war are devastating for the physical, mental and educational development of a whole generation of Syrians. VOA’s Zlatica Hoke reports the fate of Syrian children was discussed by experts at a forum in Washington on Monday.
