UNESCO GCC and Yemen Office Celebrates International Women’s Day 2018 in Qatar

As part of UNESCO’s efforts to promote gender equality, UNESCO GCC and Yemen Office will organize several events for International Women’s Day 2018. International Women’s Day is celebrated on 8 March every year, a date recognized by the United Nations in 1975. UNESCO marks it as a day when women are recognized for their achievements without regard to divisions, and in particular as a rallying point to build support for women's rights and participation in the political and economic arenas.
