Truck Bomb Strikes Mogadishu Port, at Least 11 Dead

A massive car bomb exploded outside Mogadishu’s new seaport Sunday morning, targeting security forces and port workers. The commander of Mogadishu’s police force, Colonel Bishar Abshir Geddi, told VOA Somali that at least 11 people were killed. Other sources told VOA the death toll is much higher, with many people wounded. Geddi says the explosion was caused by a truck bomb, and authorities are investigating whether the truck was driven by a suicide bomber or was parked there...
