(Goma) – Partner organizations involved in the Kivu Security Tracker (KST) were recently made aware of a security vulnerability in its database. The KST tracks and publicly reports incidents of violence in the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). The partner organizations immediately took the website offline. The organizations have informed all researchers working on this project and are working together to fully assess the situation. Information collection has been paused. We take the integrity of our work and the safety of those who document and report violent incidents very seriously.…
