BURKINA FASO NEGLECTED DISEASE - USAGM

The disfiguring disease noma is found mainly in poor areas of sub-Saharan Africa that lack health care and kills 90% of victims left untreated, most of them children. Noma is preventable with awareness, and to that end aid groups are urging the World Health Organization to add Noma to its list of neglected tropical diseases.
