The Pew Research Center estimates there are three and a half million Muslims living in the United States, a number that will grow as they become the second largest religious group in the country by 2040. But for one television reporter in the heartland of America, these are just statistics in the background of her daily task to meet deadlines as she charts a new and historic path forward representing her faith.
