Lancet Commission: Climate Change is a Medical Emergency

Health and medical professionals meet at the White House today for a summit on climate change and public health. The event follows Monday's release by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency of a major analysis on the health and economic benefits of lowering climate changing emissions. Similar global findings were just released by the Lancet Commission on Health and Climate, an independent, international and multi-disciplinary research group. VOA’s Rosanne Skirble has the details.
