Gift Economies Strengthen Communities

Recycling has become routine in communities around the world. Cans, bottles, old newspapers are collected and repackaged. Unwanted clothes and toys are passed along to families in need. Now, grassroots organizations have set up local networks, to reuse all sorts of items.
