Rheumatoid arthritis, or RA, is an autoimmune disease in which the body attacks its own joints, leading to crippling pain, swelling and lack of mobility. The disease has disabled millions of people worldwide, but diagnosing patients early could allow doctors to slow or stop the progression of the disease. VOA'S Kevin Enochs reports.
