Nonprofit Working to End Homelessness

As many homeless shelters across the country have remained at or near capacity, the US faces complicated challenges. In his 2017 budget, President Obama proposed spending $11 billion over the next 10 years to fight family homelessness. Not far from the White House, one woman took the issue to heart and has helped hundreds of people get off the streets and into a place of their own. VOA’s June Soh has more.
