Nike Reveals Self-tying Shoe

A concept first floated in the 1985 movie Back to the Future is now a reality. In the movie, Marty McFly, played by Michael J. Fox, wore athletic shoes that laced automatically, and this week, shoe manufacturer Nike announced it had made just such a shoe. It’s called HyperAdapt 1.0, and according to Nike, when you put it on, your heel activates a sensor that will automatically tighten the laces.
