Virginia Police Officer Shot, Killed on First Day on Duty

A police officer in the eastern U.S. state of Virginia was shot and killed Saturday afternoon during her first full day in uniform. Officer Ashley Guindon and two other officers with the Prince William County police force were responding to a domestic disturbance call in a community located nearly 50 kilometers southwest of Washington when they were shot.  The trio were taken to a hospital where Guindon later died of her injuries.  No information has been released on the other...
