A new opinion poll suggests Americans are increasingly concerned about terrorism following several high-profile Islamist-linked attacks, but remain divided about giving up civil liberties to ensure their safety. The survey, published by the Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research, found 54 percent of Americans believe it is sometimes necessary for the government to sacrifice freedoms to fight terrorism.
