Fresh Fighting Reported In Taliban-Held Northern Afghan City

There are reports of fresh clashes in the northern Afghan city Kunduz, where security forces surrounding the city have begun attempts to wrest control from the Taliban.  A statement from Afghanistan’s defense ministry says troops have retaken the police headquarters and the city prison.
