Indonesia Military Plane Crashes in Neighborhood

An Indonesian military transport plane has crashed into a residential neighborhood on the island of Sumatra. Local media report the Hercules C-130 crashed around midday Tuesday into two houses in the town of Medan. Pictures from social media showed the downed aircraft in flames among damaged buildings. There was no immediate word on casualties. A military spokesman says the plane went down minutes after taking off from a nearby airport.
