Casualties Feared Following Somali Government Raid on Ex-Warlord

Heavy fighting has broken out between Somali government forces and a militia loyal to a former warlord in southwest Mogadishu. The ex-warlord, Ahmed Hassan Adow, told VOA's Somali service the clashes began when government forces attacked his home before dawn Friday. Adow, who spoke above the sound of ongoing gunfire, said there have been casualties, but he could not yet be sure how many.
