Israel Sends More Troops to Gaza

Israel has intensified its ground offensive against the besieged Gaza Strip where more Palestinians were killed Sunday as thousands fled the hardest-hit areas. The Israeli military said Sunday it has sent more troops into the Palestinian territory.   Palestinian health officials said the death toll in nearly two weeks of an Israeli assault has reached 400 - mostly civilians - with at least 40 deaths on Sunday.  The numbers have not been confirmed.
