CN-Satellite Weather Prediction Getting Better

The 2014 Atlantic Hurricane Season predictions are due out [[Thursday (May 22)]] by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration or NOAA. These forecasts show general trends over the next six months. But the accuracy of such long-range projections is often criticized, especially when they turn out to be wrong. VOA's Rosanne Skirble went to NOAA’s Satellite Operations Facility near Washington to get a closer look at the tools meteorologists use to make their forecasts.
