Enduring legacy of Nelson Mandela can guide efforts to end racism, UN says on International Day

To mark the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination, the United Nations is calling on the world, especially political, civil and religious leaders, to draw strength from the legacy of the late Nelson Mandela, who waged a lifelong battle against prejudice and messages and ideas based on racism, racial superiority or hatred.
