Thailand Begins Election Re-Runs

Authorities in Thailand say polls have opened peacefully in five provinces for re-runs of a widely disrupted general election last month.Election re-runs needed in other provinces will be held at a later date.The Election Commission says voting in the general election on February 2 was disrupted in 18 percent of constituencies affecting several million people in 18 of 77 provinces.The commission says full results will not be announced until polls have been held in all constituencies.
