3D Virus Model Could Lead to Cure for Common Cold

A cure for the common cold may be just around the corner. A three-dimensional model of the rhinovirus C, the virus behind up to half of all childhood colds, reveals why effective treatment for the ailment remains elusive and could open the door to a cure. Researchers at the University of Wisconsin-Madison created a meticulous topographical model, of the virus, which was only discovered in 2006.
