Wildfire Crosses Freeway in Southern California

A fast-moving wildfire swept across a freeway Friday in the western U.S. state of California, burning cars and trucks and threatening homes in the area. Television footage showed the fire, pushed by desert winds, burning on both sides of Interstate Highway 15, the main highway between Southern California and Las Vegas, Nevada.
