Less than 24 hours after U.S. President Barack Obama joined Twitter as @POTUS, he has over 1.6 million followers. The Guinness World record for the fastest gain of a million followers is currently held by Hollywood actor Robert Downey Jr. who achieved the feat in just under 24 hours (23:22) in April of 2014.
