Si, en France, le terme « Maghreb » désigne communément l’ensemble formé par la Tunisie, le Maroc et l’Algérie, les délimitations et la dénomination même de cette région n’ont rien de défini. Les circulations et les différents peuplements qui se sont succédé au fil de son histoire invitent à la concevoir comme un espace à géographie variable.
