Iraq: Protest death toll surges as security forces resume brutal repression

Amnesty investigated the renewed repression in multiple cities in Iraq over the past 48 hours that has left at least 12 dead and scores injured or arrested, with some subjected to torture. The overall death toll in Iraq’s protests is now more than 600 since October, with no end in sight to the violations
