“Unanimous” G7 support for RSF’s Information and Democracy Initiative

NewsThe leaders of the G7 nations discussed the “Partnership on Information and Democracy” at a G7 summit session on digital issues in the French city of Biarritz today. Based on an initiative that Reporters Without Borders (RSF) launched in September 2018, this inter-governmental partnership is due to be signed by 20 countries during the next UN General Assembly in September. French President Emmanuel Macron presented the Information and Democracy Initiative to his G7 counterparts at today’s session and urged them to join it.
