Six months of "yellow vest" protests and police violence against journalists: at least 54 reporters injured and 120 incidents listed

NewsReporters Without Borders (RSF) calls on the French authorities to take urgent measures to end the disturbing number of acts of police aggression against journalists – including abuse of authority, humiliation, insults, threats, baton blows and the firing of flashball rounds – during the “gilets jaunes” (yellow vest) protests that began exactly six months ago today.Although the figures compiled by RSF are still provisional, the scale of the abuses is unprecedented.
