Angola: Stop Abusive Expulsions of Migrants

Expand © 2012 Human Rights Watch (Johannesburg) – The Angolan government should immediately suspend the abusive deportation of migrants from the Democratic Republic of Congo and conduct a prompt and impartial investigation into alleged abuses by state security forces. Over 400,000 people were forcibly returned or fled Angola during October 2018 following an operation targeting illegal diamond mining in Angola’s Lunda Norte province.
