US Congress Breaks Race and Gender Barriers

A number of historic firsts in the U.S. midterm elections broke ethnic and gender barriers and will make the U.S. Congress the most diverse ever when it convenes in January. But as VOA's Brian Padden reports, the growing diversity of legislators is primarily happening in the Democratic Party as women and minority voters turn away from President Donald Trump and the Republican Party.
