New Blackout Hits Puerto Rico Amid Funding Worries

Puerto Rico’s capital city, San Juan, lost electricity Thursday when two of the U.S. island territory’s main power plants shut down. The failure came after warnings by officials that the power supply was in danger as the island struggles to fund its recovery after being hit by back-to-back hurricanes in 2017.
