Bangladesh Professor Granted Stay From Deportation From US

A judge has granted a chemistry professor from Bangladesh, who is living near Kansas City, a temporary stay from deportation, two weeks after immigration agents arrested him at his home. Syed Ahmed Jamal has been living and working in the United States for more than 30 years. He is married with three children and was facing deportation as soon as Friday before a judge ordered the stay.
