Cycle of Military Violence Repeats in Myanmar

Recent accounts of brutality by the Myanmar military on the ethnic Rohingya have stunned many, but the army has a long history of violence toward the ethnic civilian population, who they have often accused of supporting armed ethnic groups fighting for control over resources and land within the country. Striking similarities between attacks show a pattern of impunity that has pervaded Myanmar's military. Steve Sandford talks to victims and experts about the continuing cycle of violence.
