International Day of the Girl Cites Importance of Education

October 11 marks International Day of the Girl. The day was established by the United Nations General Assembly in 2011 to publicize the rights of girls around the world and the unique challenges they face. U.S. First Lady Michelle Obama used this day to highlight a global appeal called Let Girls Learn. VOA's Robert Raffaele has more.
