Pakistan’s Parliament Strengthens Honor Killing Law

Pakistan’s parliament on Thursday tightened a legal loophole that allowed perpetrators of honor killings to avoid justice. Under the new law, a pardon granted by the victim’s family can spare the convicted perpetrator from capital punishment – but not from a mandated minimum sentence of life in prison. VOA’s Ayesha Tanzeem reports from Islamabad.
