Car Bomb Hits Police Checkpoint in Turkey, Kills 8

A car-bomb blast Friday in Cizre, southeast Turkey, has killed at least eight police officers and wounded scores of other people, hospital officials said. Local news channels showed a large plume of smoke filling the air after the explosion in the site that is believed to be a police checkpoint.
