Taliban Blast Kills 5 Soldiers in Afghanistan

Officials in Afghanistan say a suicide bomber on a motorbike has attacked a joint U.S.-Afghan patrol near Bagram air base, killing five soldiers and wounding six. But a Taliban statement claims at least 19 people, mostly U.S. soldiers, were killed and many more were wounded. The Taliban routinely exaggerates death tolls. The statement from the militants said the joint force routinely stopped at the site of the explosion.
