US Reduces Troops in Afghanistan as Security, Budget Problems Remain

The U.S. military says it has accomplished its goals in Afghanistan as it draws down to fewer than 11,000 troops there by January 1, 2015. However, critics say the U.S. draw-down deadline has left Afghanistan with a weak security force and a government vulnerable to corruption and huge budget gaps.
