UN Renews Cross-Border Syria Aid Authorization

The United Nations Security Council has authorized a one-year extension of the cross-border delivery of humanitarian aid into rebel-held areas of Syria without Syrian government consent. The resolution unanimously adopted by the Council on Wednesday authorizes aid deliveries at a total of four border crossings in Turkey, Iraq and Jordan. The extension lasts until January 2016.
