Philippines: Water makes children smile in Eastern Samar

When Typhoon Haiyan hit Sulangan on Eastern Samar, Anacita Raluso surveyed the shattered remains of her town and wondered where food and water would come from. ICRC and Philippine Red Cross water engineers set up water treatment units and distribution systems and began repairs. As Anacita explains, in the midst of all the chaos, being able to give her youngest son a glass of clean water has meant the earth. But work will continue for many months to come.
