Sudan - Eritrean journalist freed in Khartoum, Sudanese newspaperwoman detained

The Eritrean editorial writer and journalist, Jamal Osman Hamad, who runs the website adoulis.com, was released by Sudanese security forces in Khartoum today after spending eight weeks in detention. Hamad, who has lived in Sudan for several years, is known for his criticism of the Eritrean president, Issaias Afeworki. He was arrested less than a week after Afeworki visited Sudan on 24 October.
