Democratic Republic of the Congo: Red Cross condemns lack of respect for its emergency services

On 26 November, a volunteer of the Red Cross Society of the Democratic Republic of the Congo was attacked near a first-aid post in the N'Djili municipality of Kinshasa by unidentified assailants. The red cross emblem was clearly visible on his uniform. He died of his wounds at a hospital in Kinshasa on 7 December.
