Le 29 mars 2008, vingt-quatre métropoles situées un peu partout dans le monde s’uniront afin de sensibiliser la population internationale contre les changements climatiques. Celles-ci éteindront symboliquement leurs lumières pendant une heure dans le cadre de l’initiative Earth Hour 2008. Au Canada, les villes de Montréal, d’Ottawa, de Toronto et de Vancouver participeront à cette seconde édition de l’événement.
