Le Kirghizstan siégera pour la première fois de son histoire au Conseil de sécurité des Nations Unies. À l’issue d’un scrutin serré organisé mercredi à l’Assemblée générale, la république d’Asie centrale a décroché le siège réservé au groupe Asie-Pacifique, devançant les Philippines après quatre tours de vote.
