En ligne depuis septembre 2020, « la Révolution » est une série Netflix en huit épisodes, qui nous plonge dans une intrigue fantastique au cœur de la période pré-révolutionnaire. Si, au départ, les audiences ont été très satisfaisantes, elles se sont rapidement érodées et les critiques ont été si virulentes que la première saison est restée sans lendemain. Un retour sur cet objet télévisuel, bien plus conforme aux normes chères à la plateforme au N rouge sur fond noir qu’à la vérité historique, permet aussi de rappeler l’existence d’œuvres plus anciennes dont l’approche de cette période…La Conversation
