Voir du sens là où beaucoup ne voient que des choses : tel était le credo de Roland Barthes. Dans ses « Mythologies », recueil de 53 textes paru au milieu des années 1950, le sémiologue observe à la loupe le rapport des Français au steak frites, au catch ou aux jouets en plastique. Pour lui, les objets et les grands rendez-vous populaires révèlents à merveille l’esprit et les affects d’une époque. Aujourd’hui, ces objets ont changé, mais l’exercice n’a pas pris une ride et c’est Pascal Lardellier, professeur à l’université de Bourgogne, qui se penche avec gourmandise sur nos “objets cultes”…La Conversation
