Bangladeshi Immigrant Convicted for 2017 New York City Subway Blast

A federal jury in Manhattan on Tuesday found an immigrant from Bangladesh guilty of terrorism for setting off a pipe bomb in the New York subway last year. Akayed Ullah, 28, could be sentenced to life in federal prison. The Dec. 11, 2017, blast injured three people, but set off a panic when smoke from the bomb filled a pedestrian tunnel between two of the busiest subway stations.
