Amid Growing Repression, Turkey's Female Graffiti Artists Shine

Turkey’s largest city, Istanbul, is witnessing an explosion of graffiti, many by women artists. Even though Turkey is in the grip of rising authoritarianism, city authorities are not cracking down on the graffiti and in some cases are even actively encouraging the wall art.
