Nigerian Activist Uses Education to Counter Impact of Boko Haram Violence

A Nigerian activist is trying to make a difference in her hometown, where the extremist group Boko Haram remains a threat. She’s building schools in southern Borno, in northern Nigeria, where many students have stopped their education for fear of being attacked by Boko Haram. Her program called Education Must Continue Initiative reaches Christian minorities in the predominantly Muslim region. Chika Oduah reports from Lassa in Borno State.
