US Stock Exchanges Have Mixed Week

U.S. major stock averages closed mixed this week as the Nasdaq led the charge with its sixth record close of 2017, while the Dow Jones industrial average backed away from the 20,000 mark and the S&P 500 closed flat. Fourth-quarter earnings have officially started, with the big banks like JPMorgan, Bank of America, Wells Fargo and PNC reported results Friday morning.
